A quiet life ?

The Kildwick Parish records are full of interesting information and strange entries.
Here are some that record the progress of a woman from the cradle to her grave, 35 years later. There's nothing particularly remarkable about her life, except her name. Whisper it - quietly.

Baptism - 9th September 1731
Mary, Daughter of John & Silence Davy of Kildwick, Labourer

Baptism - 18th August 1734
John, Son of John & Silence Davy of Silsden Moor. Labourer

Burial - December 9th 1737
Silence, Wife of John Davy of Kildwick Grange, Labourer
